"She gets sexed up"

"It’s inappropriate."

"A terrible example for young girls."

"Does being yourself mean wear swanky clothing and wear a lot of makeup?"

Yes, actually it can.

I hate when people say this about Elsa. I HATE IT.

First I would like to mention that when people say “be yourself” some people don’t really mean. What they mean is don’t try to hard, don’t put too much makeup, don’t wear clothes that are too tight or comfy, stay comfortable. And for some people, that is not themselves.

Some people like to put on a lot of makeup.

Some people like wearing revealing clothing.

Some people like to look rebellious.

You can’t hold that against them.

AND ITS THE SAME THING FOR ELSA.

All her life, she was told to be this quiet, poised, conservative girl. A girl who wears long dresses, capes. A girl who doesn’t talk back, doesn’t act up. She was trapped. She was trapped in a little box full of responsibilities.

And now she’s LETTING GO.

Did you even listen to the freaking song?

She’s becoming what she wants to be. She’s letting go of the past and heading straight into the future. And no one affects what she looks like. There is no boy she wants to impress. No townspeople. No parents.

She’s doing all of this for herself.

And I don’t know about you, but I think that this is a great example to set for little girls, afraid to be themselves.

This was written by a little 6 year old girl. I babysit her and her two sisters - Rebecca and Mia, and before they go to bed they all sit down and write little prayers to God.
This was the one that Hollie wrote last time, and it absolutely broke my heart. I mean, she’s six years old and she thinks she’s not beautiful. That’s not right. But she is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. She’s got golden blonde hair, bright green eyes and a smile so beautiful that you melt a little inside when you see it.
When their mum got home, I showed her Hollie’s prayer, and she was devestated. She’s a nurse so she’s seen a lot of horrible things, but I have never seen her like that. And so I had to do something.
If you’re reading this, and if you have the slightest bit of a heart, please reblog this, so that I can prove to Hollie that she is beautiful, and that she is so special, and that God made her exactly the way she is because He knows that He made her perfect. Please give this beautiful little girl the confidence she deserves.

this made me cry. i don’t really care that i’m a strict 1d blog. everyone needs to reblog.

this picture broke my heart. everybody should have this at least once on their blog

This really made me cry..

hollie, baby you’re perfect.

Omg it is soo sad :( everyone is beautiful in their own way whether you believe it or not you are!! this broke my heart :(

I DON’T CARE WHAT KIND OF BLOG YOU GOT YOU HAVE TO REBLOG THIS

I want Hollie to know to know that she is beautiful inside and out.Don’t you dare let ANYONE tell you otherwise.Be wonderful and sweet and kind and smart. And above all be yourself. That’s what makes you beautiful. In my own life experience growing up as a child that’s what I wish someone would’ve told me when I thought these things at a young age.
